DATE OUTFIT INSPIRATIONS

Fancy Dinner – Maybe your date is going to splurge and take you out for a nice meal :))) Take advantage of it and go for a look to match. A chic vintage dress, clutch and heels are perfect for the occasion. If you want to dress up or down your look it is all in the accessories. (dress: Erdem)

Movie – A movie is pretty casual date but so much fun and a tried and true good time. A stylish comfy outfit with a little flash fits the bill. Make sure you bring a cardigan or jacket since the theaters tend to be cold. (look:Asos)

Hike, walk or... shopping marathon  – Some of the best dates are when you are able to get outside and enjoy nature or a shopping session with a sister or a friend. Whether you are able to stroll on the beach, trek through the hills or wander from shop to shop, go for a sturdy outfit. Jeans, a layered outfit, and walkable shoes will be perfect

Formal Event – If you are headed to a cocktail party or a black-tie event, make sure your shoes (and heels) are comfortable and season appropriate. Dressing modestly is essential when fitting in to the black tie theme. Dresses should be floor length. Bring a shawl or quality scarf to cover up your shoulders if your dress is sleeveless.
Typically, black tie events call for darker solid dresses; black, navy blue, scarlet red, or deep purple are great options. All of your sparkly, fancy jewelry that you can never wear is appropriate here. You can wear your hair down as long as it does not look too wild. Take a picture of yourself before going to the party. From the picture, you can decide whether you’re wearing too much jewelry or the wrong hairdo. Be sure to let your personality shine through and have fun. Follow the tips above, and you will be appropriately dressed for every formal event. (dress: H&M)

Surprise date – If your bae is feeling adventurous and is going to attempt to wow you with mystery plans be ready for anything:))) Wearing slacks instead of jeans will help if you end up going somewhere nice. A chic pantsuit with statement accessories fits almost every occasion. Be sure to bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes in case you end up standing, walking around (or biking!) more than you expected. (pantsuit: DIY by Burda)
